Riverie Cruises into the 2024 Season

On Wednesday, May 15th, Corn Hill Navigation’s cruise boat, Riverie, made her seasonal journey from Macedon down the Erie Canal to the Genesee River, arriving at her home port in Corn Hill Landing on Exchange Blvd. On May 17th, Riverie had its first official passengers of the 2024 season. Our very first cruise was a group of RCSD High School Students with Liberty Partnerships. The cruise was covered through an On The Canals grant and the students had a wonderful time. Our public cruises for the remainder of the opening weekend were well attended as passengers enjoyed cruising on Riverie along Rochester’s historic river and canal opening weekend!

On its typical 90-minute excursion, passengers will be introduced to the Genesee River’s many historic sites, landmarks, Frederick Law Olmsted-designed parks, the natural beauty of the river, and abundant wildlife. Available on board for purchase are a variety of wines, beers, soft drinks, and snacks. Lunch and dinner cruises, along with private charters, may be arranged. This season some cruises will feature guest speakers and guided neighborhood walks. There will also be special trips to Fairport, Pittsford, Brockport, and Spencerport. The 2024 boating season runs from mid-May to the end of October. Riverie’s boat capacity is 35 passengers and parking is available close by and on site. Note also that there are restaurants, patio dining, and a wine bar at Corn Hill Landing, including our own river view patio to enjoy prior to boarding. We hope you “Come Aboard” soon!!
