Meet the Corn Hill Navigation Team- Captain Lindsay Levy

Lindsay Levy is from Webster, NY and grew up on the water as her family owns a cottage on the St Lawrence Seaway. A fun fact about Lindsay is that she is a twin! She also has two step brothers and a half sister.

Lindsay started working for Corn Hill Navigation 6 years ago as a deckhand and now has a 25 ton master license. Lindsay now operates Sam Patch on the weekends when she is available. She stays busy during the week as a Veterinary Technician and does pet sitting on the weekends. When asked what her favorite part is about working for CHN, she responded “meeting passengers.” She also loves to give children the chance to steer the boat on a nice day, of course while being right at the helm with them!

Captain Lindsay would like everyone to know that she is the youngest captain in CHN history, becoming a captain with CHN at 22 years old!  When asked what she would like others to know about CHN, she states “We are a family like community and strive to make people happy.”

Thank you to Captain Lindsay for being our featured employee this week!

If you have any interest in working for Corn Hill Navigation, we are looking to train staff this season to prep for the 2025 Bicentennial of the Erie Canal. Please send your interest and resume to our Director of Operations, Laura Mack, by emailing laura@cornhillnav.org. We will train and onboard you to be ready for next canal season starting in May 2025!
