Meet the Corn Hill Navigation Team-featuring Charter Coordinator & Ticket Booth Customer Service Agent-Denise French
“I love interacting with our guests while helping them plan an outing on one of our vessels.
Whether it is a public cruise or private charter, making a personal connection provides an
opportunity to make a great first impression of the organization,” says Denise French, Corn Hill
Navigation charter coordinator and ticketing staff member. She is retired from the healthcare
industry and in her second season with CHN.
Denise enjoys working at Schoen Place where so many people stop by the booth. She likes
learning from where people are visiting and sharing a bit of our local history. Sometimes she’s
treated to a performance. Denise relates that a few weeks ago an adorable young man
introduced himself and asked if he could dance for her. His Mom tuned up the music and he
proceeded to do the dance on the sidewalk in front of the booth. “It was such a sweet
moment.”
Denise describes herself as a fun-loving, easy going person, who lives in the moment. In her
leisure time she enjoys traveling, especially on cruise ships, reading, and obsessing over the
Pittsburgh Steelers. She notes that she went to high school with Joe Montana and college with
Dan Marino; and in person, she has seen her beloved Steelers win two super bowls.
Falling in love with the Rochester area after visiting her husband’s family, Denise and John (a
Pittsford native), moved here from Pennsylvania at the end of 2020. While having plenty of
nieces and nephews, when asked if she has kids, Denise likes to say “I have one BIG 56 year
old KID!”(referring to her husband, John).
