Rochester Garden Club Beautifies Both Locations with Grant

In 2025, Corn Hill Navigation received a grant from the Rochester Garden Club to beautify both of our locations with planters.

In Pittsford, this grant supported two planters, together with soil and plants, next to our ticket booth. Volunteers from our organization purchased the planters, plants, and soil. They also planted each of the containers.

At our Downtown Rochester location, this grant provided four large planters around our patio space near the Genesee Riverfront. We were also able to add three planters of varying sizes near the front door of our space, adjacent to the parking lot. Again, the grant supported purchasing the planters, soil, and plants. Volunteers did the work of putting it all together!

In August, we were thrilled to welcome a group from the Rochester Garden Club aboard Riverie to see our planters in person and how much they add to our downtown location to create a welcoming and enjoyable setting.

Our prominent locations are ideal for beautiful plants, and we are extremely grateful to the Rochester Garden Club for providing the funds to make them happen. We expect hundreds of thousands of people will pass by our locations in the next few years and we’re committed to bringing in new plants each spring so the planters can be full and beautiful throughout the summer.
