The Riverie Kids Cruises are geared towards elementary aged children(K-6) who want to learn more about the Erie Canal and Genesee River!
Each month has activities on board geared towards a theme:
June: I SPY on the Waterways!
July: Happy Birthday America and Erie Canal!
August: Nautical Navigators River and Canal Adventure
September: A Pirate’s Voyage
October: Boo! on the Boat

Enjoy live music from local artists while you cruise around Genesee River, and take in stunning views of Rochester’s skyline as the sun sets.

See and hear some of the 100 species of birds that make their home along the Erie Canal and Genesee River with local birding experts Randi and Nic Minetor!

Topics on Engineering, Architecture, Industry, Spirituality, and Agriculture are just a few examples of presentations provided by special guests and organizations within the local community related to the Erie Canal.

Unlocking the Past: Navigating the Erie Canal’s First 200 Years Speaker Series takes an in-depth dive into the values, customs, ideas, and creativity that were sparked by the opening of the Erie Canal and the impact this waterway had on the individual and on the collective society of upstate NY and beyond.

This membership allows you to enjoy 4 different speakers and presentations during the Erie Canal’s Bicentennial year!

Memberships need to be used within the 2025 season. All 4 cruises will be validated within the Speaker Series activities on both vessels. Capacity for each presentation is first come, first serve.
